Then, spray areas where you suspect cockroaches are coming in or anywhere you might have seen cockroaches. This will dissuade cockroaches from coming into your house and risking being exposed to a substance that causes them pain.

4. Spray Roaches With Mint Oil

Finally, if you see a roach, spray it with mint oil. This will cause it to suffocate and die. It is safe to use around children and will allow you to kill the cockroach before it is able to send out signals to other roaches that it has found food.
